Heather is Senior Vice President for Mag Mile Capital and has been with founder Aries Capital since 2002. As a member of the Originations and Business Development Team, Heather manages all phases of the closing process for the firm’s client transactions, including facilitating correspondence among the borrower, lender, attorney and third parties; troubleshooting and resolving issues; and ensuring all deliverables are received in order and on time for closing and securitization. Heather has participated in over $1 billion in financing transactions.
Prior to her current role, Heather was an originator and underwriter for the firm where she performed real estate analysis, developed cash flow models and underwrote directly for its correspondent lenders. She also placed loans with CMBS, local banks, insurance companies and high-leveraged lenders. Heather specializes in hotel analysis and unique loan structures involving A, B, and C tranches.
Before joining Aries, Heather was the Director of Research for Pritzker Residential and Centergate Residential in Chicago. In this consultative position, Heather compiled and analyzed micro and macro economics for the company’s real estate portfolio, creating a business plan for its diversification and entry into new markets.
Education and Affiliations
Heather earned her Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University’s College of Commerce in Chicago, IL where she remains involved with the university’s Graduate Center for Real Estate Center. She is a past President of Chicago’s Real Estate Council (CREC), and a member of Chicago’s Real Estate Investment Association. She actively supports members of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) through the firm’s preferred financing and revenue-sharing program, and is a former United States Senate intern.
