Cody is VP of Originations at Mag Mile Capital and is based in Chicago, IL.  In this role, he is responsible for placing debt and arranging equity for commercial real estate and financial sponsors implementing core, value-add, and opportunistic investment strategies.  Over the course of his capital markets advisory career, Cody has been involved in over $2.5 billion of permanent loan, bridge loan, construction loan, and mezzanine loan financings and JV equity and preferred equity arrangements across all property types nationwide.

Cody sharpened his analytical skill and strengthened his relationship management acumen through his previous roles in structured finance at DBRS, where he rated over $1 billion in new issuance CMBS, in financial consulting at Huron, where he implemented strategic finance advisory and technology solutions to executive leadership at Fortune 100 companies, and in real estate investment banking at Citigroup, Capmark Finance, and GMAC Commercial Mortgage, where he spearheaded more than $1.5 billion of highly structured construction and permanent loan financings capitalized with new issuance tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) syndications, and agency (FNMA/FHLMC) forward funding commitments.

Cody began his career at Ernst & Young in Real Estate Advisory Services in New York.

Cody earned a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Economics, Finance, and Accounting, a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with majors in Real Estate and Finance, and a specialization in International Business from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST).

He is also a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker in Illinois.
